Why do we set goals?

Top-level athletes, successful businesspeople and achievers in all fields set goals. Setting goals gives you vision and motivation to achieve something that you have decided to do. Setting clearly defined goals will allow you to measure how much / how well you have done them and take pride once you have achieved them and most of all gives you self confidence.

Where do we begin?

Research Lead should take a major role in the Innovation Project. Below are just some ideas of how to get started.

1. Research Lead should start thinking about the exact scope of the project. What exactly do we want to find out and what problem are we trying to solve?
   After some research, you will be able to decide on a proposed solution and implement it as a team.
   Start a document that will help you plan this.
2. Research Lead should allocate different areas of research to different team members. This should be added to each team member’s goals.
   Think about where each team member will put their research data.
3. Ask team to share their findings in the next meeting.

Robot Project

We had an exciting discussion to get a better look at the Cargo Connect challenge mat. We looked more closely at the following challenge stations:

• M04 Transportation Journey (10 + 10 + 10 points)
  We saw that it won’t activate correctly with dropped bricks. A fast pushing motion will activate with more accuracy.
• M14 Bridge (10 + 10 points)
  Boom gate technique to push the bridge down.
• M07 Unload Cargo Ship (20 + 10 points)
  Possibly also using the boom gate technique to push the crane the full way.
• M08 Air Drop (20 points)
  Easy push with possibly no attachment required.

Our aim: build and refine attachments that will be able to complete multiple challenges. Reuse attachments where possible.

Where do we begin?

Mission Strategist will read and understand the game rule book (PDF version / interactive version) and divide up the mission for each team member to tackle. Consider whether a mission is activated by a

• pull
• lift
• lower
